The town of Newington was founced in 1871. Newington means "New Town in the Meadow"
Newington is a town in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. As of the 2010 census, it had a population of 30,562. The Connecticut Department of Transportation has its headquarters in Newington.
Newington is home to Mill Pond Falls, near the center of town. This waterfall is considered the smallest naturally formed waterfall in the United States. It is celebrated each fall during the Waterfall Festival.
The American Radio Relay League is headquartered in Newington, with a call sign of W1AW. Millions of Ham Radio Operators know of Newington because of the ARRL.
Newington, Connecticut was recently listed in the Top 10 in all categories (except country living) in Hartford Magazine as best places in Connecticut to live!

This weather site is operated by Scott and Eva Greczkowski of Newington, Connecticut. Scott and Eva founded the popular Satellite Television and Home Theater Technology website SatelliteGuys.US back in 2003, since then it has grown to serve over a half million unique IP addresses a month and is considered the most reliable source of DISH Network and DIRECTV information in the United States!
Scott and Eva have two kids, Zackery Graham and Richard and also live with their pets Flash the beagle, Mittens the cat, a Mexican Redheaded Amazon Parot named Rascal, two hampsters and a big fishtank full of fish.
Both enjoy giving back to the community, SatelliteGuys has been a proud sponsor of Newington Little League, and both Scott and Eva enjoy helping other families who are in need around the holidays. In addition Scott wanted to bring this weather station for use by all Newington Residents as a gift from the Greczkowski's.
Scott and Eva were married in front of the Mill Pond Falls in Newington on June 30th, 2002.
We both love Newington and are proud to call it home. We are also proud to have Newington be home of SatelliteGuys and we hope we can make other Newington residents proud with SatelliteGuys and this NewingtonWeather.COM website!
